Vampire of the Castle (7) - Merge (孤城の吸血鬼⑦―合流―, Kojō no Kyūketsuki 7 -Gōryū-) is the thirty-seventh chapter in the D.Gray-man (Manga) series written and illustrated by Katsura Hoshino.
Synopsis[]
A younger Allen speaks to the hazy image of Mana Walker, telling him that even if he doesn’t have his he, he still wants to be an Exorcist and share the fate of his friends. Mana fades, and as Allen begins to cry, Mana talks to him, telling him to go in deeper, inciting a change in Allen that heals his eye and causes it to transform.
As Allen regains consciousness, Eliade is brushing herself off, upset about her ruined clothes. When Allen asks her if she isn’t going to transform, Eliade responds that she hates transforming into her Akuma form because she prefers to be beautiful, but she pulls off her face regardless and assumes her Akuma form, lunging at Allen.
Elsewhere, Arystar Krory suddenly becomes pained as he runs out of energy. As he thinks about how he should have drank more of Eliade’s blood, only to brush the thought off immediately, Lavi takes advantage of his distraction to use his hammer to summon a giant snake of fire and attack, knocking Krory back thorough the castle wall. Lavi assures Krory that he wasn’t using his full power.
The battles merge within the castle, Allen and Krory getting thrown through walls and into the main hallway. When Eliade sees Krory has been hurt, she reverts to her human form and goes to his side, leaving Lavi to catch Allen.
Lavi notices Allen’s eye and asks if it’s healed, but notices something about Eliade before he gets an answer.
